One of the better Korean Chinese restaurants in the area. Our go to place for jjampong and jajamien.

Love this restaurant! It has become our go-to for Korean-Chinese food even though it's an hour drive from us. Their large portion sizes also make it a great spot for family gatherings or larger parties, which is getting harder to find these days. Recommend: Peking Chicken Sweet and spicy sauce over deliciously fried chicken. It's super full of flavor and is my brother's favorite! Pork Tangsuyuk Everyone loves this dish. The pork is always the perfect texture - crispy on the outside but soft and juicy inside. I especially love the sauce, which is sweet and sour and has bits of onions and carrots. Yang jang pi My personal favorite. It's fresh and has great texture. It's full of vegetables, jellyfish, and bits of pork with mustard sauce on the side if you want some kick to this tasty dish. Also, I want to add that it can get pretty busy on the weekends, so sometimes we'll just togo it and extra that we just keep in our fridge for later.

Kiddos loved it, the tang-su-yuk deep fried pork with sweet and sour sauce was a huge hit, big enough for 4 adults and was bigger than anything ever shown to us in koreatown (see hand next to plate to see relative quantity) Seafood quantity a little lacking in the spicy seafood jampong noodles but my kid loved the flavor of the soup. All in all would say most Americans and kids would like this place, as the korean take on Chinese food is a bit sweeter and more tangy than traditional Chinese in the first place

A favorite of my family's especially my mom! House Of Joy has a huge menu and everything we have ordered has been great. I love that they have a seafood jjiajjiangmyun option as my mom is pescatarian. They have tangsooyuk but chicken versions instead of the normal beef or pork. We always order their jellyfish dish and you cannot go wrong with their sweet and spicy options. We typically get the chicken wings and the shrimp and it's always a hit with the entire family. I have to also shout out their service. We come here as a family so there are always a lot of us. They are able to accommodate and have lots of large tables in their dining room. This last time I went, I was even more surprised by their hospitality. There was a young woman who had developmental disabilities and needed extra help and the staff was attentive and kind in all their interactions. We had a 4 month old baby with our group and they were checking on her and coming over to say hi which we all loved. Will continue to come and support this great business and continue to have delicious meals here. Highly recommend.
